About Us

The Elmhurst Walk-In Assistance Network is a charitable 501c3 organization dedicated to providing emergency assistance to people in need within our community. Services include, but are not limited to, financial assistance with rent, utilities, car repair, prescriptions, dental needs, gas, and shoe vouchers. Clients wishing to use the Immaculate Conception Food Pantry gain access through EWAN. Additionally, we provide resources and referrals to agencies throughout the county that can provide further help. We operate two programs for students in Elmhurst: a school snack program for students on free and reduced lunch and the Student With Activity Needs program. Individuals and families interested in our services need to provide two proofs of 90 day residency in Elmhurst. No appointment necessary. We are located in the lower level of St. Peter's UCC. Look for the purple door!
